Coachella 2012 Day 4 Wrap Up

Weekend 1 of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival at the Empire Polo Field in Indio California was a great success and now it’s time for Weekend 2. On Friday, the weather returned to the typical scorching temperature and partygoers made their way through each of the five stages being rocked by a slew of different artists throughout the night.

DJ Afrojack was bringing the life of EDM to the Sahara Tent and was being cheered on by his girlfriend Paris Hilton who tweeted, “@DJAfrojack just made @Coachella dance like I’ve never seen before! What an incredible set! Nothing like #AfrojackMusic! #YES! ☺♡♫” Swedish House Mafia was perhaps the biggest performers of the night owning the Coachella stage and bringing in the most people to party to their set.

Weekend 2 consists of the same lineup as Weekend 1 and while The Black Keys announced that it was “good to be back,” their set and the sets of every other artist was the same as last week. One thing that we can hope for this week is the guest appearance of artists just like last week. David Guetta is set to perform this weekend and being the popular DJ that he is, we can only hope that he will be joined by one of his ‘Nothing But The Beat’ collaborators.

Will we be seeing Rihanna & Katy Perry this weekend? Probably not! There are also talks regarding the appearance of Tupac with Snoop Dogg and Dr.Dre this week but the event producers will most likely refuse to pay a hefty fee for his appearance.

For the thousands of fans who weren’t able to attend this year’s festivities, provisions have been made for you to enjoy most of the performances. The string of concerts will be streamed live on YouTube via the Coachella channel.
