RihannaNavy, the time has finally come. After a month of filming, dropping three Behind-The-Scenes videos for ‘Where Have You Been’ and teasing us with the choreography, wardrobe and set design, Rihanna has finally released the long awaited ‘Where Have You Been’ video.
The clip opens with Rihanna ascending from the water with smudged eye makeup. As the beat really kicks in, she reveals her full body and then the scene switches to the singer (clad in the attire worn for the single cover) and her backups covered in mud in bright red pants with a zebra print top and blonde extensions as she dances in the ‘desert’ with pits of fire.
The singer also switches hairstyles in a jiffy as she rocks black curls a black mini dress and silver hoops and dances in smoke with her dancers who are all decked out in tribal wear and paint.
Full of high-octane choreography with lightning fast footwork, Rihanna and her dancers dress down in a number of tribal like costumes as they dance through the natural themed set. The singer even looks like Mother Earth herself in some scenes wearing nothing but necklaces and bracelets as she covers her breasts with skin toned pasties.
She also revisits her ‘Princess Of China’ choreography as we see waves of hands fan out and dance behind her before the song comes to a close and she makes her way back to the water, and disappears.
“This one is just all performance, It’s all about evoking emotion through your body,” she said about the video and she definitely delivered.
While Rihanna is enjoying a relaxing vacation in Hawaii, the singer is set to appear on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar for the first time in her career. She will also be making her return to ‘SNL’ as the musical guest with host Eli Manning on May 5th. If that isn’t enough on her list, the video for ‘Princess Of China’ is set to release in the third week of May and she will be headlining BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend on June 24th.
With so much to look forward to in the future, let’s all go fullscreen, max out the speakers and watch Rihanna dance her life away in ‘Where Have You Been.’
