The Billboard Music Awards will take place in Las Vegas at 8 P.M. ET on May 20th and Usher, Nelly Furtado and Kelly Clarkson have been scheduled to perform at the star-studded event.

The three will join Justin Bieber, Cee Lo Green and Carrie Underwood who had previously been announced. We’re expecting Usher to perform either ‘Climax’ or ‘Scream’ and vocal powerhouse Kelly Clarkson is expected to perform ‘Stronger.’ Nelly Furtado is preparing to release her fifth studio produced LP ‘The Spirit Indestructible’ and we’re suspecting her to perform ‘Big Hoop.’

This year, Adele, LMFAO, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne are leading the nominations with Adele nominated in 18 categories, LMFAO in 17, Rihanna 13, and Gaga and Wayne up for 10.

The 2012 Billboard Music Awards will be hosted by Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen and will air live on ABC at 8PM ET on May 20th.
