Kanye West Goes Abstract In ‘Lost In The World’ Video Premiere
Kanye West is known for his out of this world videos and for ‘Lost in the World’ Feat. Bon Iver, he does just that – leaving this earth in the video. Lifted from West’s 2010 album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,’ West’s appearance is very minimal as the black and white clip directed by Ruth Hogben focuses mainly around a set of models.
The clip is full of clouds and fog as we see models dancing on a mirror floor while the camera explores every possible angle. West shows his face to rap “If we die in each other’s arms, still get laid in that afterlife” and after he drops the lines, he’s out of there.
When the tribal beat kicks in, the models engage in a quick dance scene as they flawlessly perform an outrageous dance before the clip comes to a close. ‘Lost in the World’ is abstract art at it’s finest and it seems much like a fashion video more than anything else.
