Selena Gomez often does double duty as both an actress and a singer but on the cover of the July issue of ‘Elle’ Magazine, she plays the part of a model as she rocks a Dolce & Gabbana corset with Tiffany & Co., Janis and David Yurman accessories. Gomez looks a tad more mature than usual due to the faded red lipstick, her glowing hair and the angle of the photo and we love it. Fashionista!
The good folks over at ‘Elle’ pulled out all of the stops for their new “it” girl’s spread as she wears a number of looks from high-profile designers including: Manolo Blahnik, Yves Saint Laurent, Vera Wang and Mugler. They’ve fallen so much in love with Gomez that not only does she have one cover, but she has two!
For the second cover, Gomez is the image of pure beauty as she averts her gaze from the lens of the camera giving that blank look. Placed in front of a bright yellow background, she wears an embroidered lambskin top from Balmain along with a Mugler skirt and Tiffany & Co. jewelry. Apart from Gomez, the only other thing on the cover that catches our eyes is the cover tag: “Why Justin Bieber Can’t Get Enough of Her.”
The July issue of ‘Elle’ Magazine hits newsstands on June 19th, 2012.
See what Gomez told the magazine below:
On Bieber renting out LA’s Staples Center for a private screening of Titanic: “If I’ll share anything with you, it’s that he really is a hopeless romantic. I had just mentioned it in the car – all I said is that I really want to see Titanic again, and then…”
On growing up poor: “I can remember about seven times when our car got stuck on the highway because we’d run out of gas money.” Her mother still, “saved up to take me to concerts. She took me to museums, aquariums, to teach me about the world, about what’s real.”
On Disney: “Disney is a machine, so people automatically assume that you can’t work for the channel unless you act and sing and dance and sign up for all that. That’s absolutely not true. I always did everything the way I wanted to do it.”
On her roles: “I get offered the teenybopper movies, and I’ve done that. I haven’t done a mega-hundred-billion-dollar Transformers movie, but that’s not what I want to do either.”
On seeing Jennifer Lopez in Selena at age five: “I made a bustier out of a bathing suit that I dyed black. I put glue and glitter all over it and I wouldn’t take it off.”
