Yesterday (June 14th), Drake and Chris Brown broke out into a fight at WIP Nightclub in NYC where Brown and his security guard Big Pat were left with visible injuries.
According to the latest reports from TMZ, this nightclub brawl between the two caused much more damage than was initially thought. Witnesses have revealed that one of Chris’s friends was apparently tossing around “gang signs” and “death threats” at Drake’s camp before the fight.
The witnesses continued to reveal that Chris was at his VIP table with 16 associates, one of whom had dreadlocks and was the main instigator of the fight as he was the one making the threats. “Somebody’s gonna die,” he shouted. He also told Meek Mill, “F*ck you, we’re gonna kill you n*gga.”
NBA superstar Tony Parker was also partying at WIP Nightclub and told TMZ that he sustained a serious eye injury due to their fight. “I was there with a bunch of friends when a fight broke out. They started to throw bottles about. I got it all,” he said.
Parker continued, “The cornea has been touched. I can’t do anything for seven days. But I was lucky. The injury won’t prevent me from competing in the Olympics in any way.”
Another angered victim is Hollie C., a 24-year-old Australian tourist who was hit in the head by a bottle and had to receive 16 stitches to her head. She made a video following the incident where she expressed her anger saying, “Where’s the justice in them driving away in a limo while I had to catch the train home on one of my holidays?”
Blaming the incident on “stupid famous people,” Hollie was separated from her friends and was treated overnight at a hospital before returning home alone on Thursday morning.
The latest reports have revealed that Chris Brown ahs spoken with the NYPD about the incident and the injuries that he sustained and law enforcement sources have told TMZ that Brown’s lawyer’s have provided them with “physical evidence” proving Drake’s involvement.
Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos presented the evidence late Thursday (June 14th) night to show that both Drake and Meek Mill caused the fight. Surprisingly, Brown is not a suspect but is instead “a witness and a victim.” Drake has not been deemed as a suspect and sources have revealed that the ‘HYFR’ rapper is cooperating with authorities.
As if the story isn’t crazy enough already, sources have told US Weekly that Rihanna “Loves the drama.” “She loves this. Men fighting over her? Are you kidding? Of course. [She] loves the drama.” The singer reportedly received text messages about the situation but, “She just laughed. She’s spoken to both of them and just thinks it’s crazy.” “She’s glad she wasn’t there though!”
Another source has told Hollywood Life that Rihanna cares about both Brown and Drake and isn’t happy about it at all. “When she heard they were fighting and apparently over her, she shook her head and was like, ‘You’ve got to be f—ing kidding me,” the source said. “She clearly doesn’t want anyone fighting and especially not over her. She saw the pic Chris tweeted and her face turned upside down. She’s a little distraught over this and hopes both of them are all right.”
To make it even more difficult to understand, Radar Online reports that Brown visited Rihanna after the fight. “Those two have a thing for each other that will never die, no matter what, and they’re on their way to really being back together,” the source said. “Chris just adores her. And she tended to him, making sure the gash on his chin from the fight was okay.”
“Chris and Drake never got in each other’s faces. It was entourage versus entourage, never Drake versus Chris,” said a source.
If the damage to innocent bystanders wasn’t enough, the foolish and immature behavior exhibited by Brown and Drake has also caused the NY City Council to reconsider Bottle Service.
City Council Speaker Christine C. Quinn released a statement, which reads: “I am deeply concerned by reports of the bottle throwing melee that injured more than five people in SoHo this week. That is why I have immediately convened an emergency meeting next week between my office, the NYPD, and the nightlife industry.”
“The purpose of this meeting is to send a clear message to all nightclub patrons that bottles cannot be used as weapons and to determine if the guidelines surrounding bottle service need to be updated or reworked.”
