‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Scores Highest Ever Tuesday Debut
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ broke previous records yesterday (July 3rd) when the film debuted with an impressive $35 million, the highest ever for a Tuesday debut.
Experts estimate that the 3D film will gross $140 million by Sunday but Sony predicts that it will earn no more than $120 million.
‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ has beaten the previous record set by ‘Transformers,’ which earned $27.8 million in 2007. The opening is also the third-biggest of the year following ‘The Avengers’ and ‘The Hunger Games.’
Star Trident will be catching the Marc Webb directed flick during the weekend … will you?
