‘Diced Pineapples’ are some of the sweetest things on earth and on Rick Ross’s track of the same name, he teams up with Wale and Drake to rap about the fruit.
‘Sliced Pineapples’ is lifted from his upcoming album ‘God Forgives, I Don’t’ and Ross spoke about the inspiration of the track telling MTV’s RapFix, “When I got out of the hospital … the doctor told me, ‘You gotta eat some more fruit, drink you some water, eat fruit and just relax for a little while.’ My fruit of choice was pineapples,”
Wale opens the track with his poetic and metaphorical rhymes as he raps: Diced pineapple / Tonight you shall reach a height that the sky won’t catch you / The highest form of my admiration / I ain’t no connoisseur but I’m kinda sure you will admire my taste / And before the sun graze ya / I’m tryin to see how deep you are / And believe me shorty I ain’t talking about no intimate conversation / I wanna see if I can make you reach things unobtainable / When I peek into your nature / And I promise you my goals will exceed any physical pleasure…”
‘Diced Pineapples’ is a soft ballad and Ross raps: “Shorty so fine, p*ssy so fresh / Diced pineapples that my baby tastes the best / I nearly lost my mind, guess it was a test / Swept her off her feet and went and bought her a*s a Lex.” “She know how to make me smile / She do it with the sex,” he adds.
Drake recently stated that he’s the only one in the game who can successfully rap and sing and he finds himself singing for his ladylove in an attempt to win her heart once again. “Feels better when you let it out, don’t it, girl,” he sings.. “Then we f*ck all night ’til things get right.”
‘Diced Pineapples’ is featured on Rick Ross’ upcoming album ‘God Forgives, I Don’t,’ out July 31st.
