All around the world, August 19th has been designated World Humanitarian Day and in an effort to promote this year’s campaign, Beyoncé recorded a powerful message.

In the black-and-white clip, she stands in a field with her braids and no-makeup as she delivers the message: “On August 19th, it’s high time we rise together. Do one thing for another human being. Nothing is too small.” “It begins with each of us. Make your mark and say, ‘I was here.’”

Beyoncé and songwriter Diane Warren will donate a video of Bey performing ‘I Was Here’ in the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York City. It will premiere on August 19th and the U.N. is aiming for 1 billion views.

“One day. One message. One billion people taking action for each other. I’ll see you then.”
