Carly Rae Jepsen came along a few months ago with ‘Call Me Maybe’ and as the time went by, she eventually teamed up with Owl City for ‘Good Time.’ Her voice is infectious and her lyrics are catchy and now, under the instruction of Scooter Braun and Justin Bieber, she will release her U.S. debut album.
Take a seat Jepsen fans because the Canadian singer revealed that the title of the LP is ‘Kiss’ and it will be released on September 18th.
Jepsen Co-wrote most of the songs on the album and in a press release stated that, “These are lyric and song ideas that I have been collecting over the years.” She continued, “I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to be able to collaborate with some of my dream producers. It has been the most fulfilling experience. The record is pop. It’s inspired by Robyn, The Cars, Madonna, and believe it or not, James Taylor. I can’t wait to share it with everyone! Kiss.”
‘Kiss’ now shares the same release date as Wiz Khalifa’s ‘O.N.I.F.C.,’ The Killers‘ ‘Battle Born,’ Pink’s ‘The Truth About Love,’ Nelly Furtado’s’ ‘The Spirit Indestructible,’ Pet Shop Boys‘ ‘Elysium’ and the 25th anniversary re-issue of Michael Jackson’s ‘Bad.’
Carly Rae Jepsen will perform on ‘America’s Got Talent’ on August 22nd, the ‘TODAY’ show on August 23rd and ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno’ on August 28th. She was also nominated at the 2012 MTV VMA’s for Best New Artist.
