With the world focused on the closing of the London 2012 Summer Olympics yesterday (August 12th), Miley Cyrus still managed to garner a load of attention when she debuted her new hairstyle via Twitter.

Cyrus has been changing her hair a lot over these past few weeks but her latest hairstyle is quite drastic as she sports a blonde pixie cut with heavy bangs.

Before she tweeted a series of photos of her new do, her stylist Chris McMillan shared a photo just before he cut off her bun with the caption “Goodbye bun.”

Hours later, the singer tweeted a string of images with the captions:

-“ if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all. my hair is attached to my head no one else’s and it’s going bye bye :)”

- “Never felt more me in my whole life ❤”

-“most successful Sally day EVER! ❤❤❤ I feel pretty ohhhh so pretty and gayyyy
