Kelly Rowland is making the jump from singer to actress reports The Hollywood Reporter, who exclusively revealed that the former Destiny’s Child member has just signed a deal with BET to star in a comedy pilot.

‘What Would Dylan Do’ (working title) will be executive produced by ‘The Bernie Mac Show’s’ Warren Hutcherson and Rowland will play the role of Dylan, a struggling L.A. based relationship blogger. The sitcom also stars Gabrielle Dennis of ‘The Game,’ who plays her best friend Cherise and Melanie Liburd of ‘Strike Back,’ who is Rowland’s wealthy and divorced roommate Brooke.

This isn’t the first time that Rowland has tried her hand at acting. The ‘Motivation’ singer has already appeared in ‘American Dreams,’ ‘The Hughleys’ and ‘Girlfriends’ with positive reviews. She also landed a co-starring role in ‘Freddy Vs. Jason’ but her acting in this particular film was not impressive.

Keep your eyes peeled for Kelly Rowland on BET!
