Jordin Sparks shed an amazing 50 pounds and she showed off her body in a Bebe Knit Eyelet Dress and Jimmy Choo nude peep toe pumps as she performed the National Anthem at the Opening Night Ceremony of the U.S. Open 2012 last night (August 27th).

Taking to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City, Sparks paid tribute to the late Whitney Houston before her performance telling the crowd, “I know she would have wanted us to celebrate tonight.”

With fireworks lighting up the New York sky, Sparks delivered a flawless rendition of the National Anthem and later performed ‘Celebrate.’ Following her performance, she made her way to the Moet & Chandon suite where she enjoyed the rest of her night.

Sparks has been busy as of late and opened up to U.S. Weekly about staying in shape despite her hectic schedule. “It’s been so crazy . . . that’s where really watching what I eat comes into play,” she explained.

“I’ve been trying to stay away from all of the stuff at the airports, because that’s where I’ve been living,” Sparks added. “I’ve been trying to eat a lot of salads, apples, fruits — I’ve been trying to stick with things like that so I can snack on those instead of being like, ‘Oh look, a bag of chips! I’ll just have those!'”
