PETA Takes Shots At “Desperate Freaks” Lady Gaga And Rihanna

Animal rights organization PETA has been on quite a roll over these past few weeks. They first targeted Lady Gaga because of her furry fashion choices and have now set their eyes on Rihanna for wearing snakeskin.

PETA and Lady Gaga went head to head last month over ‘Furgate’ with Mother Monster declaring that she tries her best to avoid fur. However, she did state that if she comes across an absolute piece of art, she can’t resist the urge to wear it.

Rihanna is now the target of PETA because she wore Python spike heel boots from the Tom Ford Fall 2012 collection while partying last week. Speaking to The Daily Express, PETA said, “Rihanna may not have a clue that snakes killed for boots are often nailed to a tree and skinned alive. Of course, they can’t go on Oprah to cry about it.”

PETA continued, “Wearing reptile skin is creepy and callous, and it makes her look even more out of touch … She and Lady Gaga seem so desperate to be freaks instead of recognized for their talents that you have to wonder if they realize that they are being laughed at.”
