Azealia Banks Performs At MAC & Launches Lipstick On Fashion’s Night Out

Fashion’s Night Out took place on Thursday (September 6th) and while celebrities were booked to capacity, Azealia Banks found herself performing at MAC Cosmetic’s SoHo store.

Wearing a black bikini top with shorts and knee-high combat boots, she took things to another level inside of the MAC store as she performed a destructive set that included hits such as ‘Van Vogue,’ ‘Liquorice,’ ‘1991’ and of course ‘212.’ In there was crazy!

Banks was also on hand to launch her limited edition, plum coloured “Yung Rapunxel” lipstick.

“It came from me wearing long weaves and being a s*it starter,” she told Allure about the lipstick. “Yung Rapunxel is someone that just f*cks everything up. She just wants to have a good time, but she’s not f*cking s*it up on purpose, she’s f*cking s*it up because you’re not ready, and everyone else isn’t being themselves, and everyone else is trying to follow whoever they think is the leader.”

“Little do they know, the leader doesn’t even know what the f*ck they’re doing,” she continues. “So that’s where it came from, and I just started saying it a lot, like I say it in ’212.’ Yung Rapunxel is just that girl who’s like, ‘What’s up? I’m here. Who has a problem?’”
