Adele was chosen to record the official theme song for the upcoming James Bond flick ‘Skyfall’ and moments ago, we saw the release of the official single cover of the song, which is being referred to as ‘Skyfall’ with the alternate name ‘Let The Sky Fall.’
Produced by Paul Epworth, ‘Skyfall’ is being described as the “best Bond song in my lifetime” by Adele’s collaborator Ryan Tedder. He tweeted, “I’ve heard it. Best bond song in my lifetime. Hands down- hats off once again to Paul Epworth and Adele. hope they win Oscar.”
The song is reportedly a “classic 007 in the manner of the best Bond songs of the past. It’s an ominous, dramatic ballad, with lots of gorgeous horn flourishes peeking out through Adele’s now trademark vocals. It’s also fresh, new, and original.”
The opening lines reportedly read, “This is the end / Hold your breath and count to ten / Feel the Earth move and then / Hear my heart burst again.” The chorus is also expected to read, “Let the sky fall/Let it crumble/We will stand tall/And face it all/together.”
The ‘Skyfall’ theme song is expected to be released next week on radio and will go on sale on iTunes on October 4th.
Apart from the theme song, producers of the film have also released new stills from the upcoming flick. The stills show Daniel Craig, villain Javier Bardem and Bond ladies Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe.
In ‘Skyfall,’ the history of M16 director M comes back to haunt her as the organization comes under attack. Bond’s loyalty to M is put under a microscope as he must track down and eliminate the threat to both M and M16.
Daniel Craig returns once again as James Bond alongside Naomie Harris, Dame Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes and Javier Bardem. ‘Skyfall’ hits cinemas in the U.K. and Ireland on October 26th and in the U.S. On November 9th. ‘Skyfall’ will be released in IMAX in the U.S. on November 8th.
