Published On October 1, 2012 | Celebrities, Fresh Tunes, Music News

The latest track to be released from Ellie Goulding’s upcoming album ‘Halcyon’ is ‘Explosions’ and the only thing that its exploding is emotions. Like most of the other songs from the album, ‘Explosions’ allows Goulding’s voice to take center stage as she sings about heartbreak.

‘Explosions’ opens up with her a capella vocals with a backing choir before Goudling sings, “I’ve fallen from grace / Took a blow to my face / I’ve loved and I’ve lost / I’ve loved and I’ve lost.”

Once the chorus comes to an end, the beat finds itself escalating with piano and violin notes as Goulding takes her voice to a higher state. The song truly shows her versatility as an artist.

‘Explosions’ is lifted from Ellie Goulding’s upcoming LP ‘Halcyon,’ which will be released on October 8th.
