The Weeknd Keeps It Calm In ‘Rolling Stone’ Video Premiere
Abel Tesfaye aka the Weeknd was just signed to Universal Republic and he recently released the music video for his single ‘Rolling Stone.’ Carly Rae Jepsen noted that Canadians are taking over and Tesfaye (Yes, he is a Canadian) finds himself sitting pretty much still in the black-and-white clip.
It looks if he’s in the middle of a photo shoot as a woman has her arms draped over his shoulders as he belts out the lyrics to the soothing R&B tune. Throughout the clip, we see flashes going off as the camera changes angles of the subject before being blurred out at the end of the clip.
The video for ‘Rolling Stone’ was clearly not a big budget affair but it fulfills its purpose and gives fans a perfect introduction to the R&B force.
‘Rolling Stone’ is lifted from the Weeknd’s debut album ‘Trilogy,’ out November 13th. The LP features re-mastered versions of their three mixtapes – ‘House of Balloons,’ ‘Thursday’ and ‘Echoes of Silence’ – along with three brand new songs.
Right now, the Weeekdn is currently supporting Florence + the Machine on their U.S. tour but in October, he will headline his own tour.
