It’s the little things in life that mean the most and as the second single lifted from One Direction’s upcoming album ‘Take Me Home,’ ‘Little Things’ varies greatly from ‘Live While We’re Young’ as the boys sing over an acoustic guitar beat.
A gentle track penned by Ed Sheeran, Harry, Zayn, Liam, Louis and Niall all use their heavenly voices to sing in vivid detail about loving one special girl. Yes, it’s true that she may have a few flaws but the boys promise to never let her little flaws slip out of their mouths because they absolutely love her and all her little things (aka problems).
Every lyric in ‘Little Things’ is a sweet combination of letters and the boys really show their love for this special girl singing: “Your hand fits in mine like it’s made just for me / But bear this in mind, it was meant to be / And I’m joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks / And it all makes sense to me.”
One Direction is well known for making females fall at their feet and ‘Little Things’ will definitely increase the frequency of this happening.
“It is kind of a very sweet song,” Ed Sheeran told MTV. “It was written about the best things about someone, kind of like the things you wouldn’t expect. You’ll have to hear it. I can’t really say too much ’cause it’s their album. I want them to be the first ones to announce it and stuff.”
He also told Capital FM that the song has “one of my favorite lines that I’ve ever written in a song – “I know you never like the sound of your voice on tape and you never like to know how much you weigh and you still have to squeeze into your jeans, but you’re perfect to me.””
One Direction’s sophomore album ‘Take Me Home’ will hit shelves on November 13th.
