Paris Fashion Week: Louis Vuitton A/W 2013-14 Fashion Show

Paris Fashion Week officially came to an end on March 6th and Marc Jacobs wrapped it up with an impressive Fall 2013-14 show for Louis Vuitton. Presented in the tented courtyard of the Louvre, fashion lovers witnessed quite the spectacle as models (complete with cropped wigs) walked down the hotel corridor inspired runway.
This year’s collection boasted comfortable yet spectacularly fashionable pieces inspired by boudoir. It encompasses slip dresses, coats, fur and even pajama pants. The circular runway was home to a delicious concept where one of 50 doors would open and a model would walk the corridor. The door would remain open – allowing guests to peer into the room filled with Louis Vuitton luggage and black-and-white film projections – and the model would walk all around, ending her performance by closing her door.
The cycle repeated to the tune of Alexandre Desplat’s ‘River’ and the show came to end with supermodel Kate Moss, who gracefully wore a smoky gray devoré velvet floor-length bias-cut dress.
“The entire collection has a touch of une robe de chambre, an attitude of getting dressed up only to find the most glamorous destination is one’s own hotel room.” – Marc Jaobs.
Mesmerizing.
