‘American Idol’ Finale: Watch Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Mariah Carey, Psy & More Perform As Candice Glover Wins Season 120
The ‘American Idol’ finale took place last night (May 16th) and as Candice Glover walked away as the winner of Season 12, viewers were treated to a plethora of musical performances from ‘AI’ graduates and some of music’s biggest names.
Mariah Carey left her beloved judges seat and performed a medley of hits that included hits like ‘Vision of Love,’ ‘Make It Happen,’ ‘Hero,’ ‘We Belong Together’ and her new single ‘#Beautiful,’ among others. Her friend Randy Jackson backed her up on the guitar and in her white dress, she sang her heart out.
Kanye West is a total mess right now. The rapper performed a 90-minute set at the Roseland Ballroom last night (May 15th) during the Adult Swim upfront and as usual, he had to stop and rant like a teacher in school. He did perform a new song called ‘So Awesome’ though, so that partially makes up for the time wasted.
“I ain’t no muthafuckin celebrity,” he reportedly said. “There’s one thing about me — I’m a terrible, terrible terrible celebrity. I don’t know if you really know there’s one thing about me but I’m the worst kind of celebrity. All I do is make real music. All I do is sit in the studio and make real shit. And that’s it. And that’s motherfuckin’ it. That’s motherfuckin’ it!”
Nicki Minaj has had a fine run on ‘American Idol’ and while we enjoyed seeing her on our screens, sources close to the show have reported that she will exit after ‘Season 12’ comes to a close later today (May 16th).
“It’s safe to say she isn’t coming back to ‘Idol,’” a source told Us Weekly, stating that she will instead be focusing on her next album, touring and endorsements. “She’s okay with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway.”
Along with Minaj, judge Randy Jackson will also be leaving the show. In recent days, rumors have circulated that ‘AI’ will be restructured with a fresh panel of judges and even a new producer.

Well we weren’t expecting this. After many years a successful professional footballer, superstar David Beckham has officially announced his retirement after this season with his current team Paris Saint-Germain.
He broke the news in a statement writing:
“I’m thankful to PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) for giving me the opportunity to continue, but I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level.
If you had told me as a young boy I would have played for and won trophies with my boyhood club Manchester United, proudly captained and played for my country over one hundred times and lined up for some of the biggest clubs in the world, I would have told you it was a fantasy. I’m fortunate to have realized those dreams.
To this day, one of my proudest achievements is captaining my country. I knew every time I wore the Three Lions shirt, I was not only following in a long line of great players, I was also representing every fan that cared passionately about their country. I’m honored to represent England both on and off the pitch.
We’ve been patiently waiting for Rihanna to release a male fragrance and it looks like our dreams are finally coming true. Just hours ago, Rihanna confirmed the rumours and told her fans that she will be releasing ‘Rogue By Rihanna’ in two installments. First in a women’s followed by one for men.

Lana Del Rey is quite the hot topic and during ‘The Great Gatsby’ film premiere at the opening ceremony of the 66th Cannes International Film Festival last night (May 15th), the singer looked more beautiful than ever.
Gracing the red carpet with her old Hollywood glam style, Del Rey opted for a black-and-white embroidered gown with a scalloped sweetheart neckline by Lena Hoschek. Her look was completed with retro waves, cat eyes and Chopard jewels including emerald earrings.
While on the red carpet, LDR also caught up with fellow soundtrack contributor Florence Welch who wore a pink, polka dot number by Miu Miu. Catch this photo here!
‘The Great Gatsby’ is in cinemas now and during the opening weekend (May 10th), drew an impressive $50,085,184 in the United States alone.

Kelly Rowland just released her brand new single ‘Dirty Laundry’ and as the title of the song suggests, she’s letting it all air out.
The track premiered on Power 105.1FM’s Breakfast Club this morning, and on it, she spills on being jealous of Beyonce’s success at one point in time and even being involved with an abuser who tried to turn her against everyone else in her life.
“When my sister was on stage / killing it like a mother fucker / I was in a rage / feeling it like a motherf*cker,” she sings, later adding, “Post-’Survivor,’ she on fire / Who wanna hear my bullshit?”
Continuing like a story, she sings on the second and third verses: “Hitting the window like it was me / And still it shattered. He pulled me out and said ‘Don’t nobody love you but me / Not your mama / Not your daddy / and especially not Bey.’”
