In 2012, the world lost the great voice known as Whitney Houston on the Eve of the Grammy Awards. Her passing dealt a blow to millions across the globe and most impressively, the Grammy’s still managed to put together a tribute to the legend in just a few hours.
Now, CBS is set to air a TV special on the eve of the 2013 Grammy Awards, showing how producers and artists put together a tribute for the late, great Whitney Houston. According to Billboard, the special will feature interviews with LL Cool J, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Hudson.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z are enjoying being the parents of baby Blue Ivy Carter, but things weren’t always this great in the parenting aspect of their lives. Right after baby Blue was born, Jay-Z revealed that Bey had previously suffered a miscarriage through his song ‘Glory’ and she discusses the event in her upcoming HBO documentary, ‘Life Is But a Dream.’
“About two years ago, I was pregnant for the first time,” she reveals in the documentary, which airs this month. “And I heard the heartbeat, which was the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life.”
Beyoncé was on hand at the Super Bowl press conference moments ago and she proved that she could sing by belting out ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ LIVE with NO backing track or instrumental accompaniment. Her vocals were perfectly (and we mean perfectly) on point for this showing and she literally knocked it out the park better than any before her.
After blowing everyone away, she asked the crowd, “Does anybody have any questions?”
Justin Bieber has just released his new album ‘Believe Acoustic’ and industry experts expect that the LP will move 180K-200K units by the time that the Billboard charts are compiled next week.
‘Believe Acoustic’ topped iTunes UK and USA upon its launch, and if these predictions hold true, Bieber’s acoustic set will debut atop the Billboard 200 album sales chart.
Additionally, ‘Believe Acoustic’ will give Bieber a number one album in four consecutive years, a feat previously accomplished by only nine other artists.
Nicki Minaj has been heralded as one of the bigg est superstars of the last few years but just like teenage heartthrob Justin Bieber, she was snubbed by the Grammy Awards this year.
However, while Minaj isn’t up for any awards this year, she revealed that she isn’t bothered. “I’ve gotten tons of awards and I believe when it’s my time to get a Grammy, I’ll get a Grammy,” she told Access Hollywood.“I think that the Grammys had a different reason, that I do not want to discuss … and that’s just between me and them,” she added. “But I respect their organization and I’ll get a Grammy eventually. I’m not worried about it.”
